1314A Robertsville Road, North Frontenac ON
Robertsville is a private cemetery in North Frontenac on a hillside on Riddell property off the Robertsville Road. It is one of the oldest burial sites with the first interred being, Archie Riddell on Nov.22, 1883 as a result of a drowning, then his brother, Thomas, drowned on July 12, 1887. The next burial was John T. Riddell in 1904. It is believed that there are many children buried at this site, but some markers have no names and other plots have no markers. Lots are available for members of the Riddell family and close friends. A fee is charged for the lot and an annual donation is made for maintenance.
There are actually two cemeteries at Robertsville. The oldest one is over the hill from where burials took place in earlier times. The Riddell family started a private burial ground which other residents began to use. It grew in size. Some people who purchased plots, still have access to the cemetery.
Each cemetery page describes one of the following burial situations for individuals.
